K, Barack Obama is Black, okay? Get over it. He's Black. He's Black. He's Black, and it fucking matters. Black people have a horrible history in America because of the way they were treated by Whites. America was founded on genocide, rape, and slavery. It still affects people. The fact that it's taken a century and a half to get from slavery to African Americans being allowed to go to school with Whites to an African American being elected President of the United States is significant. Those slaves that Renee talked about (and she talked about slaves in general and women slaves in particular, so I don't know what you're griping about) died for this. They fought and died to get to this point, and the fight is not nearly over. It's a huge step for America and a huge step for Black America. To gloss over the fact that Barack Obama is Black is racist and diminishes the historic nature and significance of this election.

I am not sure what symbolic "ancestors" have to do with the election, and by focusing on his race instead of his political platform seems like strange Racism. He has even been quoted that just because he is black does not mean he will give pity to poor blacks over poor whites.

I also find it very strange that you only talk about the female slaves :(
