In the LBGT community racism is a serious issue. I think the "Gay Is The New Black" refers to Advocate Magazine cover from earlier this year. Yes, the Advocate magazine is a racist anti black publication, and as a gay black man I refuse to read the Advocate. The LBGT also has issues with white supremacy as well. This movie really touched my heart. I was especially pleased with the choice to make Ms. Raines a lesbian and how she was depicted as a full human being.
