Anyone who has been near an undergrad philosophy class in the last 50 years will tell you that the theme of the Other has been a constant among the world’s thinkers. From Marxism to post-structuralism to feminism to queer theory, the Other is everywhere. But wouldn’t it be much better (or at least cuter) if the Other were, in fact, an otter?
