Carnival Row

Prime Video | Season 2 | Release date: Friday, Feb. 17

After a long wait, fans of the show are celebrating the arrival of the second season on February 17, 2023.

As for the first season, Carnival Row is set in a Victorian fantasy world torn apart by war and race division. Overall, the story reflects the social conflict in the city of La Burgue and the tensions that exist between humans and magical creatures; this show is based on the screenplay of Travis Beacham’s A Killing on Carnival Row.

It can be assumed that in the second season, the political and social tensions will be exacerbated. Most likely, the plot will focus on the fae uprising against their oppressors. The new season is expected to raise the bar for this dark fantasy in terms of intrigue and action.

The second installment will consist of ten episodes to be released weekly; returning cast members include: Cara Delevingne, Orlando Bloom, David Gyasi, Simon McBurney, Tamzin Merchant, Arty Froushan, Caroline Ford, Karla Crome, and Andrew Gower.

Prime Video’s fantasy series will have major changes behind the camera. First season showrunner Marc Guggenheim will not return for the second season. In his place, Erik Oleson will join the team. In addition, series co-creator Travis Beacham will not continue with the project, citing creative differences.
