Welcome to the next in the Podcast Showcase series, where we share podcasts with you in the words of the podcasters themselves. This time, we talk to Politics Politics Politics.
Sum up your podcast in three sentences
Politics Politics Politics is a commentary and interview show about the bizarre world of American politics. I specifically focus on elections and election issues from demographics to negative ads. I strive to be accurate on who I think is going to win or lose and why instead of relying on partisanship.
In a podcast landscape filled with pep rallies I strive to be the scoreboard.
Who is your ideal listener? Who loves your show?
Anyone who wants to listen! The people that love the show tend to be a little skeptical of mainstream media or at least like to hear another opinion on things.
What made you start this podcast?
I love politics but wanted to separate it from another show I was doing. Now Px3 is my main source of income and the other podcast doesn’t exist so it looks like the world wants more of this stuff out of me.
What have you learned about your subject thanks to this podcast?
That being a political pundit in the middle of a contentious election is terrifying.
What has your experience of podcasting been? What do you love / hate about the process?
It’s been a joy to learn more about production and an honor to bring that value to the listeners.
If someone wants to start listening to your podcast, which episode would you recommend they start with? Why?
The most recent one. Since politics moves fast the back episodes aren’t super helpful.
Which other podcasts do you love listening to?
My favorite podcasts are The Bill Simmons Podcast, The Dan Lebatard Show, Cocaine and Rhinestones, You Must Remember This and the Aunty Donna Podcast.
