Embracing the chaos and darkness in her life has been important for Aislinn Derbez in the last couple of years. The Mexican actress, recognized for the Netflix series ‘La Casa de las Flores’ (The House of Flowers), wanted to release her fear of uncertainty to achieve the transformation she wanted in her life.

In this inner search, she created the podcast ‘La Magia del Caos’ (The Magic of Chaos), one of the projects that brings her the most satisfaction today. She talks with people who have very different perspectives on life, helping listeners to understand that everyone’s path can be similar in love, pain and learning, but different in the way to approach things.

The podcast has proven to be a gem for all who have been trying to improve their lives in recent days. The pandemic allowed many to take a look at themselves for the first time in a long time, and this heightened the need to create change from the inside without wanting to control our circumstances.

It is not necessary to live a pandemic to experience an inner transformation, there are different circumstances in life that work as a trigger. For Aislinn, it was her divorce from the actor Mauricio Ochmann, with whom she has a 2-and-a-half-year-old daughter.

The actress has always been in a constant state of reflection and search in her life, interested in discovering and exploring a variety of topics to do with spirituality, mental health and personal work. But recently she understood that she was trying to evade her problems because, usually, human beings believe that we can avoid pain, chaos and uncertainty. However, this is only denial.

For Aislinn, it was important to be brave to live the transformation she wanted. Opening her heart to the world through the podcast helped her in the process of healing, acceptance and reinvention, but also inspired many other people to be their own change.

The actress believed it was necessary to use her platforms, where she has more than 10 million followers, to provide tools, knowledge and ideas and, above all, honesty, because she opened her life for everyone to understand that, regardless of fame, she, like others, also has problems.

‘La Magia del Caos’ explores crises, conscious motherhood, relationships, social paradigms, the creation of our own reality, the meaning of success, self-knowledge, finding individuality, authenticity and mental health. She has spoken with agnostics, Buddhists, astrologers, actors, authors, therapists, among others, to show the ways in which different perspectives can coexist.

To celebrate the premiere of her podcast, she invited one of her best friends (artist Odin Dupeyron) who holds different spiritual beliefs to her. They demonstrate that we don’t need to think the same as others to have a good relationship. These friends have been there for each other through thick and thin, and were able to have an incredibly honest, revealing and emotionally intelligent conversation that will undoubtedly help anyone who will listen.

In the first season, Aislinn spoke with her dad, actor Eugenio Derbez (Instructions not included), with whom she discussed the road to fame, how all-consuming the pursuit of success can be, failed relationships and parenthood at a young age.

In the second season, Aislinn invited Justin Baldoni (Jane the Virgin) to discuss the actor’s personal quest and the challenges of marriage. The conversation was joined by the actress Emily Baldoni, Justin’s wife, who recounted how she lost her individuality for a while and the help she got from her husband to overcome a stage of depression. They showed that marriage is not easy, but it can be a beautiful journey if both are interested in growing together.

Other notable guests included psychologist, international speaker and NYT Bestselling Author, Dr. Shefali. With her, Aislinn discussed the role of women today in society and how we can break patterns to avoid being victims, gaining true control over our lives.

Aislinn’s passion for all the topics she explores, and her strong need to find the meaning of life, are reflected in the two seasons of the podcast. This space to reconnect has become a must-listen during the pandemic and it will undoubtedly remain so over time because it helps us in the process of being responsible for our own happiness. Those interested in listening can find the podcast on different platforms, on YouTube the interviews can be seen in Spanish and English with subtitles.
