After days of arguments, the results finally came in and millions around the world breathed out with relief. After all, as we have been covering here on Global Comment, America’s politicians can have an impact far beyond the country’s borders. Obviously not everybody is happy with the result, and it was closer than many had predicted, but it seems that Trump is out and we can hopefully look forward to a less tumultuous period in American leadership coming up from January.
People have talked of little else on social media, so we have some reaction posts for you to enjoy. We also found some great content not related to the election at all.
As we’re talking about social media, I want to encourage you to follow us on all the platforms you use. You’ll see the best from Global Comment in your feeds. Find us on Twitter, Facebook, Instagram and Pinterest.
Now, here are our favourite picks from everywhere else this week:

We may not have a winner yet, but it’s clear many Trump supporters are aware of the way this race is heading.
There are hundreds of videos on TikTok of young Trump supporters folding up their Trump flags and wishing Biden good luck.

“Joe Biden will be giving the State of the Union address (if he’s the next President) with a stammer … and that's okay” @EdBalls tells @peston that he deals with his stammer by talking about it, and having a stammer hasn’t held him or potential POTUS @JoeBiden back. #Peston pic.twitter.com/Eto3lwF8o8
