Not Suitable for Work

Disney / Hulu | Premiere Season | Release date: Tuesday, June 2

Genre: Sitcom, Office Comedy, Coming-of-Age Drama

Created by the witty Mindy Kaling and set in Murray Hill, an iconic and glamorous neighborhood in Manhattan, Not Suitable for Work closely follows five young twenty-somethings obsessed with success.

In a cutthroat work environment, each of them gives it their all to achieve their goals and build their careers. However, the series quickly shows that while building a career in New York is difficult, finding personal and romantic happiness is an equally daunting challenge, especially when living under the modern pressure to “have it all.”

True to Kaling’s signature style, the show features a talented and charismatic young cast, including Ella Hunt, Avantika, Will Angus, Jack Martin, Nicholas Duvernay, and Jay Ellis.

With eight episodes in its first season, Not Suitable for Work premieres its first three episodes on the day of its debut, followed by weekly releases.

Cape Fear

Apple TV+ | Premiere Season | Release date: Friday, June 5

Genre: Psychological thriller, Courtroom drama, Crime / Suspense

Martin Scorsese’s classic psychological thriller, Cape Fear, makes the leap to television via Apple TV+ with a star-studded production. Amy Adams, Patrick Wilson, and Javier Bardem lead this ambitious reimagining, which features Scorsese himself and Steven Spielberg as executive producers.

This new series expands on the iconic suspense story that already conquered the big screen in both the original 1962 film and the acclaimed 1991 remake. Both films were originally based on John D. MacDonald’s 1957 novel, The Executioners, which followed the torment of a family haunted by a mysterious and fearsome figure from the past.

In this reimagining, Anna and Tom Bowden (Adams and Wilson) are a successful, happily married couple of lawyers. Years ago, they put the dangerous Max Cady (Bardem) behind bars, but now that he has been released from prison, the criminal has only one goal in mind: to exact cold revenge against those who locked him up.

With this premise, the series promises to ramp up the psychological tension and paranoia to suffocating levels. The first two episodes of Cape Fear will premiere on the platform on June 5, followed by a new episode every Friday until the series concludes on July 31.

House of the Dragon

HBO / HBO Max | Season 3 | Release date: Sunday, June 21

Genre: Epic Fantasy, Political Drama, Family Tragedy

The highly anticipated HBO series returns with a bang this summer. Following the success of the recent premiere of A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms, excitement for George R.R. Martin’s universe is back at an all-time high. Although the network has kept production details under strict wraps, the source material, Fire & Blood, and statements from the creators offer a glimpse into the fate of Westeros.

The story will pick up exactly where the slow-burn conclusion of Season 2 left off, foreshadowing the violent and pivotal Battle of the Gullet.

This time, House of the Dragon will plunge the factions of House Targaryen into an unprecedented open war. On one side, Rhaenyra appears headed for victory, backed by her new army of dragon riders, while a delicate and secret pact is being forged with Alicent from King’s Landing. On the other, the Green Team strikes back after securing the help of the Triarchy pirates; at the same time, a fugitive Aegon II flees eastward, and Aemond marches alongside Criston Cole toward Harrenhal to stand up to Daemon.

While the previous season was largely seen as setting the stage, this third season will finally deliver on the promise of all-out conflict. A brutal clash awaits us, one that will prove deadly for both sides.

This new batch consists of eight episodes with weekly premieres every Sunday, concluding on August 9, 2026. The good news for fans is that there’s no need to fear an abrupt ending: the series has already been officially renewed for a fourth season.

The Bear

FX- Hulu | Season 5 | Release date: Thursday, June 25

Genre: Comedy-drama, Psychological drama

The Bear, starring Jeremy Allen White and Ayo Edebiri, will come to a definitive end with its fifth season.

Created by Christopher Storer, this intense series has closely followed the tortuous journey of Carmy Berzatto (White), a brilliant and troubled haute cuisine chef focused on transforming his late brother’s chaotic sandwich shop in Chicago into an elite restaurant.

The shocking conclusion of the fourth season left the table in a critical position: Carmy shook the business to its core by announcing his unexpected retirement from the culinary industry after confessing to Sydney his complete emotional detachment.

According to official details revealed by FX, the fifth season will kick off precisely the morning after this abrupt resignation, leaving Sydney, Richie, and Natalie in full command of a restaurant adrift.

The official synopsis hints at a dramatic climax for the kitchen team:

“With no money, under the imminent threat of a sale, and with a torrential storm on the way, the new partners must join forces with the rest of the team to pull off one last service in the hope of finally securing the coveted Michelin star… In the end, they will discover that what makes a restaurant ‘perfect’ isn’t the food, but the people.”

It’s worth noting that as a prelude to this finale, FX recently surprised viewers with the release of Gary, an acclaimed anthology special episode focused on Richie and Mikey’s past that expands on the series’ emotional backdrop before its conclusion.

The fifth and final season of The Bear consists of eight episodes that will premiere simultaneously on June 25, 2026, on Hulu in the United States and Disney+ in the rest of the world.

Avatar: The Last Airbender

Netflix | Season 2 | Release date: Thursday, June 25

Genre: Adventure, Fantasy, Drama / Teen

The hit live-action adaptation of Avatar: The Last Airbender returns to expand the universe of the acclaimed animated series. This new Netflix installment will continue Aang’s (Gordon Cormier) epic journey as he races against time to master the four elements, hoping to restore peace to a world fractured by the Fire Nation’s destructive invasion.

According to the official synopsis released by the platform:

“After a bittersweet victory saving the Northern Water Tribe from the invading Fire Nation, Avatar Aang (Gordon Cormier), Katara (Kiawentiio), and Sokka (Ian Ousley) regroup and set off on a mission to convince the elusive Earth King to aid in their battle against the fearsome Fire Lord Ozai (Daniel Dae Kim). Their journey to the impenetrable city of Ba Sing Se, home of the Earth King, is treacherous but also fruitful—Aang discovers Toph (Miyako), an audacious young master of earthbending, and convinces her to help him add earthbending to his powers of airbending and waterbending.”

Just like in the acclaimed Book Two: Earth of the original series, this season will mark the arrival of one of the most iconic and beloved characters: Toph Beifong, a blind Earthbending master who will join the team to become Aang’s mentor.

Needless to say, fans’ expectations are sky-high to find out if the production will adapt the iconic episode Zuko Alone, unanimously considered one of the most mature and brilliant installments in recent animation history.
